We entered Essex in Southern Berkshire Golden Retriever Club's annual Fun Field Trial.
This event an AKC sanctioned but not licensed trial. Therefore, we could participate with a non-AKC-registerded dog. To learn about the game, we decided to run Essex in Junior Singles, which involved two single marks on land and two single water marks. Typically, Field Trial marks are very long and tide.
Essex did a great job on her marks and passed a very nice test, rewarded with a JAM (Judges Award of Merit) and place 5 out of 17 participants.
A Special Day for Lana

Our lovely, gentle, cuddle-hungry, always "hungry", all the time ready to have fun Belana has her birthday today and is now 10 years old.
With Belana we have experienced Golden Retrievers for almost a decade now. Lana's gentle and sensitive nature, her special quirky character encouraged us to think about breeding Golden Retrievers.
We are particularly thankful to own this dog, who is our very special soulmate. Belana is the leader to all of our dogs. We enjoy watching her when she teaches our young dogs their lessons.
